Our Team
An Excellent team with strong 'From the Top-down' Management, displaying determined leadership with immense respect for Safety, health and staff development as well as being goals oriented and results driven
John Brosnan, Project Director, APlus Solar.
- I have over 30 years Construction Project Management experience, all with 100% accident-free record as well as a reputation for bringing projects in on time and within budget.
- I have both CIF PSCS and PHECC qualifications.
- I was Managing Director of Brosnan Scaffolding Services for nearly two decades where we worked exclusively for companies like Castlethorn Construction, BAM and Pierse, successfully before the downturn.
- We had the unique distinction of holding 100% Accident-free record as well as being an integral Contractor, leading to continuous contracts lasting years where we left small towns like Belarmine, Pelletstown and Adamstown in our wake.
- The downturn in 2012 gave me an opportunity to retrain. Having a background in Civil engineering, Computer Science seemed like the modern upgrade, i.e. ICT Architecture. I received a 1.1 in Computer Science from Griffith College, before doing a Financial Services degree in UCD Institute of Banking. After receiving a second 1.1 Degree here, I got the opportunity to get my MSc in Finance in UCD Citibank. This gave me a great overview of Banking, financial products, options and derivatives.
- I was fortunate to retain my personal property portfolio and spent a couple of years remodelling my own and family properties, while the Irish economy improved.
- I returned to Construction after getting the PSCS Site Manager role with Grange Solar /ESB to build Dew Valley Foods 7.6MWp Solar farm. Some of the Piling / Groundmount staff that I worked with then, still work for me today.
- My next move was to be PSCS Site Manager for Astatine in the Arrabawn Co-op 6.5MWp Solar Farm in Nenagh.
- I then went to work as PSCS Site Manager for Astatine / Engie in the Drumsallagh 5MWp Solar Farm in Limerick.
- In March 2025 I got the opportunity from Astatine as Contractor to build the two Phases of their flagship Coca-cola 8.5MWp Solar Farm Ballina, Co. Mayo.
- As APLus Solar Project Director I await our next opportunity in Solar Farm construction, we hope it is with a client such as yourseves where we hope to earn your respect as your go-to Solar Farm Groundmount Systems Contractor, Please give us that call, and that opportunity!
